The Scuderia Sandra - Tenuta Ca' Brescia boast over half a century of activity with trotters. The foundations laid in far off 1953 has been strongly highlighted in the modern history of native breeding, not only for its position in the "golden book" of all the most important classical races, including many international ones, but above all for having been a constant source of supply of colts (of the Jesolo bloodline) of excellent quality.
This is proven by the fact that this model farm - Ca' Brescia - located just a few miles from Venice, as the crow flies, along the lagoon belt, saw the birth of the two greatest native trotters:
Sharif di Jesolo, an authentic sire of the European breeders, and
Mint di Jesolo, the richest Italian racer of all times after Varenne.
The Ca' Brescia farm extends over an area of about 40 hectares at a distance of 500 meters from the sea. It has 90 stalls, 30 large paddocks and two training rings: a circular ring 1000 meters long and another with 600 meters of straightaway plus two 200-meter slowdown ramps. Hundreds of trees provide shade for the horses and make the whole place
very pleasant. |
